Sylvania is regarded as one of the greater Toledo area's choice residential communities, with all types of housing, including country estates, condominiums, apartments, retirement facilities, and individual homes.

Located in Northwest Lucas County, the city of Sylvania adjoins the city of Toledo. Sylvania is 225 miles east of Chicago, 60 miles south of Detroit, and 120 miles west of Cleveland. Sylvania's population is about 48,487, according to the 2010 census.

Schools

The Sylvania School District consists of seven elementary, three middle schools, and two senior high schools.
